Virginia is for lovers

OH BABY im real missionary now, just me and my companion lone wolfing it in the boonies of Virginia. I landed in VA and then what felt like 10 seconds later I was in my apartment with my companion struggling to keep my eyes open doing missionary work. Covid is taken very seriously out here so we're in pretty much full quarantine which is a bummer but hopefully we'll be able to get out in the world soon.

My companion Elder Lindsey is a G he's so down to earth and just a straight up cool dude and he loves golf so that's pretty dope. We just talk about country music, golf, fun things we did back home and the dumb stuff we did with our friends hehehe ohh the good ole days, their gonna be missed but after getting past the initial shock that living your family, friends and old life brings its honestly been a blast.

We've actually been able to have a decent amount of lessons with some super cool people. I've noticed that since I've started my mish I have gotten so much better at seeing people as Heavenly father sees them instead of judging people based on their appearance. The people out here have such genuine and good hearts. Our neighbors Roberto and Rachel are some of the coolest people, they're in their early twenties just figuring life out as they continue to learn. We gotta eat some pizza with them and hang out for a sec which was so much fun. I think it was the first time Elder lindsey talked to people in real life for months hahaha that's not funny.... lol

I had one of the coolest experiences sunday, we went to Bishops house which by the way is incredible, I always say the longer and nicer the driveway the better the house, yeah his driveway is prob a mile long with the coolest view ever but anyways we had sacrament and afterwards his family came over before their road trip. Bishop's nephew Louis(he's the cutest baby) had fallen down the stairs and they wanted to give him a blessing, Louis was in his car seat and Bishop told me to go to the other side, I was like ok didn't know what the heck was going on and then he asked if I would do the blessing and was thinking oh crap I have no clue what i'm doing hahaha. I did my best to follow the bishop's instructions and it was rough but I managed and Louis was so happy and just smiling. Afterwards I looked at Louis's mom and she was crying and at first I was confused because I pretty much butchard the blessing but then I realized that it was the spirit. It touched my heart and was a good reminder that without the spirit I couldn't be a good missionary.

Last thing I promise, today we gotta go hit some golf balls at Hobbs GC!!! It made me so happy and Troy the head pro is seeing if we can do service there which would be sooo sick. Btw my golf swings still lookin saucy
