This week was pretty dang killer! A lot of fun stuff went down this week. We got tired of hibernating in our apartment like couch potatoes so we decided that we we're gonna do some service. We had watched Fighting Preacher like the night before, well i pretty much watched it Elder Lindsey is out by 945 like clockwork every night hahaha but anyways in Fighting Preacher(It's super good you should all watch it) this couple moves into the house Joseph Smith's grew up in and their trying to re-establish the church there. Well they try doing it by kindness and showing love to everyone but even after months and months the people still despised them. To cut to the chase they end up doing service and showing the people that they loved them by ACTION. It ended up working perfectly for them. So that's kinda what inspired me to want to do something for the people we were teaching. We made a bunch of cookies and dropped em off to our awesome friends and even gotta talk to the funniest old lady Ruby. Her ac broke so she couldn't read the scriptures because it was too hot so we've been praying for her ac to get fixed lol she's the best. And she liked our cookies so that was super sick!
We got to do in person district council this week and it was sooooo FUN. Even just to see other missionaries in person. I almost forgot there were other missionaries. I'm so far out in the boonies you feel like you're in another state hahaha. We also had the AMAZING idea to saran wrap our districts cars hehehe we ran out of saran wrap after the first car so the other sisters got lucky. Well be sure to bring PLENTY next time hehehe.
This week was FULL of seeing other missionaries!! We did exchanges with the zone leaders and I learned a TON. Probably my favorite thing to learn was not to be scared of high goals. Since coming out here it feels like there's a goal for legit everything and some of them seem a little too ambitious. Elder Stuart pointed out to me that when he's been most successful is when he's had goals that stretch him but are still achievable they just require little miracles from the help of Jesus Christ. It's a good reminder that we can do all things through Jesus Christ!
The four of us missionaries during exchanges went to NN Burger for lunch. IT IS STRAIGHT FROM HEAVEN! Holy cow that place is good, we all had the sunrise burger and I'm a little sad to say but it was better than mine and Elder Lindseys. And that's not even the craziest part. They have a shake that is INSANE! It has cookies, donuts, cotton candy. It basically has the power to turn any amount of sadness into pure HAPPINESS!
Last thing I'll say is watch the CHOSEN!! It is soooo soo good holy cow!!! It's about Jesus and his ministry with the apostles. It makes me love Jesus even more!! All of a sudden it seems like real life and he's so personable. The story we've all read and love comes to life. I just HIGHLY recommend watching it!!!!!
