Short Games a Little Rusty

This week was nothing too special but from advice I've gotten and from trying it out myself no matter what type of day you're having YOU get to decide if you're gonna be happy or sad. Whenever past missionaries would tell me "It's gonna be a lot of hard work" I would just think to myself "ya ya whatever you say, how hard can it be. You just talk to people and do some service and you don't even have to go to school or have a job for two straight years!" In reality though a mission is hard work and for me it's tough because we stay inside all day and we don't get to go out to find and teach people, we "get" to wake up EVERY morning at 630(feels like a quick nap), most of all our teaching is on the phone.... I could go on about what makes it hard but what I've learned is a mission is hard but that doesn't mean you can't be happy. You always have a choice if you're gonna be happy or sad and sometimes it's hard to choose to be happy but it's always worth it. Hard things are always worth doing. That's all for my random words of wisdom people have taught me and I've learned so I hope you choose to be happy!

We have been eating like KINGS everyday! Elder Lindsey likes cooking and I like eating so we make a great team! We're trying to get in contact with Chief Ramsey so we can teach him. He could learn a few things about cooking from us hehehe just kidding but really we're eating pretty dang good. The last thing we ate was hamburgers with an egg on it and OH BOY was it good!

I don't know why I'm telling you how well we've been eating but it makes me happy and I've really been trying to find things to be happy about. Another thing that made me super happy was giving Dwight(one of our friends we are teaching) a church tour! I learned a few things from the tour too it's been so long since I've been to church hahaha funny not funny but legit it feels like YEARS since I've been to church. Sundays aren't the same. Speaking of Sundays, the spiritual highlight of the week was definitely Godlove's virtual talk. He's been a member for 3 years ish and gave an awesome talk about faith. He's from Africa and I love the way he talks. It makes me want to listen even more! One thing that stood out is that Faith is the cure for Fear. It is especially pertinent right now with the virus. Godlove said something along these lines- there's no place for fear in our lives, we should be cautious and safe but we as saints don't have Fear, we have Faith. I thought that was super cool and just an awesome reminder for us to have Faith not Fear.

Disregard what I said in the first sentence of this email it is FALSE. This week was VERY SPECIAL I got to play GOLF!!!!!! It made me so happy to be able to wack em around again! it's felt like forever since i've played. I know nobody cares but I shot 76 so I wasn't feeling too rusty which was good. Last thing i'm gonna say is remember to be happy because everyday your not it's gonna get harder and everyday you are it will get easier.

Love elder jorgensen :)
