THE UKULELE CAME!!!
This week was a party! I've had a dream of playin some country music on the guitar around the campfire and I am taking the first step to accomplish it. I got a ukulele and it felt like it took forever to come holy cow i was sooo excited. I basically just torture Elder Lindsey's ears all day now hehehe.
This week we decided to make brownies for our friends and let me tell ya they were DANG good. I'm surprised we had any to give out after I started eating em. YUMMY. Physically doing something for someone else is so rewarding. If you wanna be a little happier today make something that brings you happiness and share it with someone else. It'll bring you even more happiness than just enjoying it by yourself.
Our mission has around 230 missionaries so instead of the normal 1 on 1 meetings with president and sister Droubay we did them as a companionship. It's always so nice seeing other missionaries and especially seeing President and Sister Droubay. Everytime I see them it gives me motivation to do my absolute best. You can tell how much they genuinely care about us missionaries and even us as individuals. While we were there we had a little fun and saran wrapped Sister Freeman and Warlaumont's car hehehehe LOL our district just has a good time.
We had a virtual district council this week and it was actually super awesome. Me and Elder Lindsey gave a little training on extending invitations, asking direct questions, and promising blessings. If I do say so myself we did a pretty great job. Elder Lindsey's district leader so he's kinda in charge of us but for a sec there I took over and felt like king of the world hahaha I can't help it. I like to call myself "companion to the district leader". Just kidding but it's funny joking about it with Elder Lindsey.
We FINALLY got to go to CHURCH YAYY!! It was super weird tho. Legit like 15 people and this big empty chapel so that was a little different but it was super enjoyable. Gotta pass the sacrament for the first time in years so that was sweet. Dwight, our friend wasn't able to go in person but we had a "church meeting" over the phone with the coolest member Brother Walston. We invited Dwight to live the word of wisdom and he accepted!! Brother Walston told Dwight all the blessings that he's received from living it and it just went super duper good!
Today we had a little district pday. Our district is me and Elder Lindsey and two sets of Sister missionaries so it's always a party with em! We went to George Washington's birth birthplace and basically just played spike ball or slam ball whatever you call it. It was SOO FUN! It was nice to play a "sport" for the first time in centuries it feels like. Sister Freeman tickled the twine on the ukulele too so that was nice to see how it's supposed to be played. Elder Lindsey's getting a ukulele too so us and the sisters are gonna be jammin out! OHH AND I gotta whack some golf balls at the range today too so it was a pretty sweet day :) OOOOHHH ANNNNDDD we saved a turtle!!! it was just livin it up trying to cross the road in absolutely NOO hurry so we got our little buddy safely across the road YAYYY
