After sending last week's email I realized I completely forgot about mentioning conference.... ooops. Trust me I watched it and actually enjoyed it more than I have ever in the past probably because I actually listened and paid attention hahaha.
I loved how they addressed the world's problems in a way that is helpful and hopeful. I think we really needed that and it was nice to see the leaders of our church acknowledge the tough times were going through and how we can make it better.
My favorite talk was Elder Stevenson's so go listen to it!
This week was definitely one to remember that's for sure. My companion elder dedic has been telling me all about temples and answering the different questions I had. Cause honestly I was a little spooked by the temple. I didn't wanna go and find out that Im a part of some weird cult or something lol sounds really dumb now that Im saying it but hey it defintley spooked me a little.
I told President Droubay and he was so cool about it. He helped me with any concerns I had and was just super awesome about it.
Elder Dedic LOVES the temple and was super bummed he couldn't go but was happy for me. He thought it was so funny that I was leaving mission boundaries AND gonna see my family. So yeah I'm a bad boi doin' good things hehehe....
The temple was better than I could have ever expected honestly and although it is a little "weird" the feeling I got was really nice and hey people driving by the golf course seeing me in full winter gear playing golf in the snow thought I was weird so what the heck.
My favorite thing about it is the fact that basically all of it is found in the scriptures so if you want to learn more read the book of Moses and Genesis because that's where the bulk of it is found. Oh and Pres Droubay was there before I went in and made sure I was doing good. He's the best.
The whole thing was just a cool experience cause my parents were there and went through the temple with me and because it was such a small group of us 5 missionaries and our parents so it felt like a VIP experience.
Zach's still killin were just praying his dad will let him be baptized so keep him in your prayers
LaTroy is also gonna be baptized the 17th if everything continues to go well!! We also put Tekeisha back on date!!
