I've been here in Norfolk for almost 5 months and it has been soo much fun!!
I love the YSA here, I've made some life long friends.
A couple weeks ago we got to go to the D.C. Temple open house and it was AWESOME!! As we were walking towards the parking lot a man was there waiting and asked us what are favorite part was. Elder Stevens said "it would have been the assembly hall".
The guy/Bro Wheeler responded with a story about a Brazilian family that he was able to get up there and than Brother Wheeler tells us to wait there and he'll be back. He comes back and says if the security guard comes over and gives us a thumbs up we can go up to the assembly hall. We were HYPED!! Well the security guard comes by and gives us a thumbs down ![👎](https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/e/notoemoji/14.0/1f44e/32.png)

We were lead up to what we now call "The SOLEM assembly hall". It was really cool. Bro Wheeler told us a story while we were there about a time when he was here and the Prophet spoke and said "Thus saith the Lord".
We were convinced that Brother Wheeler was one of the 3 Nephites.
Our friend Billy is M.I.A so his baptism didn't happen this Sunday BUT we have one June 19th, our friend Sharon is getting baptized and she is super solid!
The mission has been really hard for me BUT it has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I am a new man thanks to Jesus, my mission pres and his wife, comps, people I've taught, and members.
I'll never never turn my back on the Lord because he has helped me through EVERYTHING.
Thanks for sticking with me during this adventure.
